Valeria Lukyanova, also known as the Human Barbie, has made the headlines once again. Human Barbie Valeria Lukyanova has become Breatharian Barbie.The 28-year-old Valeria Lukyanova declared that she has been in practice of living with only light and air.

Valeria always adhered to a strict liquid and vegetarian diet, but she is now taking things to a whole new level. New age guru Valeria Lukyanova, who transformed herself into a living doll, says she doesn't need food to live.

Lukyanova gained worldwide fame in 2007 when she won the title of Miss Diamond Crown of the World. Valeria Lukyanova is a Human Barbie and like any living doll, she only needs air and light. The media has been reporting this as weird and saying that Valeria Lukyanova is starving herself.

Valeria Lukyanova has gone viral once again after the Ukrainian model, known as the Human Barbie, announced that she is converting to Breatharianism. Lukyanova became a popular figure because of her Barbie look and almost perfect body. Special diets and routine gym workouts contributed greatly in maintaining her body. The Ukrainian model who transformed herself into a real-life Barbie doll eventually plans to live without eating or drinking.  Valeria Lukyanova says she will survive "on air and light alone."

Valeria Lukyanova, who's spiritual name is Amatue, told the Daily Mirror, "In recent weeks I have not been hungry at all. I'm hoping it's the final stage before I can subsist on air and light alone."

Valeria is beginning the New Age practice called Breatharianism, whose followers only take in "cosmic micro-food."The controversial practice however, resulted to people dying of starvation and dehydration. 

Lukyanova espouses many New Age philosophies. She believes in reincarnation. Amatue says she contacts transdimensional beings. She is also a musician and on her way to becoming a guru. Valeria Lukvanova's youtube channel includes many lectures on wide-ranging subjects like astral projection and hypnosis.

According to Jezebel.com, Lukyanova is starving herself to preserve her Barbie figure.

The website Breatharian.info says "This is a state of man (breatharian, inediate, non-eater) characterized (among other things) by the absence of eating, resulting from (or rather being a stage on the way to) expanding of the Consciousness sphere in which a person lives. In general an ideal (fully realized) inediate, breatharian, non-eater has no need to eat or drink to keep the body working perfectly. A breatharian consumes no food and no drink, he/she needs only air to nourish the body."

Naveena Shine, a 65-year-old Seattle woman lived on water and tea for went 47 days last year after reading information form Breatharian yogis. Her goal was 100 days, but she got an early "message from the universe that it is time to stop."

Some people claim to have lived as Breatharians for years, but none have allowed themselves to be studied. There has been one reported case of a person starving themselves to death trying to adhere to a Breatharian regimen.

Valeria Lukyanova has been followed by controversy ever since she transformed herself into a real-life Barbie doll. Valeria Lukyanova's perfect image went viral last year. Vice released a documentary last summer telling the story of how Valeria Lukyanova has traveled through time and space to become a spiritual guru here on earth.
