Jermaine O'Neal is a well-travelled NBA player. From being drafted 17^th overall by the Portland Trailblazers, he circled around the league playing for different teams. So far, he has already played for seven different clubs: the Blazers, Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, and currently, the Golden State Warriors. He is well known as an Indiana Pacer, not only because of the Malice in the Palace, but because he showed vast improvement there, and won the Most Improved Player award in 2002.

Metaphorically and literally, the 35-year old veteran is well-travelled but before their game versus the Toronto Raptors, he forgot something that a traveler needs the most. This gaffe left him missing the game.

The San Jose Mercury News reported that the 6'10 center wasn't able to fly with the team to Toronto because of passport issues.

The news portal wrote:

Warriors big man Jermaine O'Neal did not travel with the team to Toronto and is unavailable for Sunday's game at Toronto because of a passport issue, according to coach Mark Jackson.

"A misunderstanding," Jackson said of the passport issue. "We thought we had it, so the ball was dropped, and we don't know whether it was stolen or lost, what have you, but we discovered late-afternoon yesterday, and there was not enough time to fix it and get it here, so he will not be playing tonight."

O'Neal's absence was probably felt by the Warriors as the succumbed to their hosts, 98-104. The 35-year old player has been very impressive for the Warriors since the start of the season. Andrew Bogut's back-up Bogut is averaging 11.3 points and eight rebound six games since the All-Star break. He was very instrumental in his team's game vs. the New York Knicks wherein he helped the team win through his 15 points in a limited burn time.
