Apart from the $1,000-tip which the delivery guy received after transporting pizza to the Oscars 2014 venue, Ellen DeGeneres' selfie with some of Tinseltown's desirable celebrities also made history!

Ellen DeGeneres' selfie, which has been retweeted 3 million times, officially defeated President Obama's election night post on November  2012 which has been retweeted 810,000 times. Even Twitter temporarily crashed because of the photo.

"We crashed and broke Twitter. We made history," DeGeneres later said.

Since the talk show host used her Samsung smartphone for the star-studded selfie, Samsung has announced a $1-donation for every retweet of the photo. Hence, a total of $3 million will be donated to DeGeneres' chosen charities.

"While we were a sponsor of the Oscars and had an integration with ABC, we were delighted to see Ellen organically incorporate the device into the selfie moment that had everyone talking. A great surprise for everyone, she captured something that nobody expected," said Samsung to NBC.

"We wanted to say thanks for doing this. It was an incredible moment," added Samsung spokeswoman Ashley Wimberly.

Ellen DeGeneres' selfie featured 12 stars including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jared Leto, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Spacey, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Channing Tatum, Lupita Nyong'o, her brother, and Bradley Cooper who took the photo.

The television icon has selected St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and the Human Society as the recipients for Samsung's hefty donation.
