As Yuna Kim retires after the 2014 Sochi Olympics, a new era is beginning with her recently confirmed boyfriend!

Recently, it has been confirmed by AllKPop that Olympic gold medalist Yuna Kim is dating boyfriend Kim Won Joong, a hockey player.

Reportedly, the pair grew close because they went to the same university and also practiced at the same ice rink. Due to practice schedules and Yuna Kim's constant media line-up, it is said the pair only see each other a few times a month.

After the photos of the two socializing surfaced, Yuna Kim's management agency All That Sports Co. confirmed the boyfriend and the relationship.

And despite getting silver at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, one figure skater who remains a fan of Yuna Kim is 2010 bronze medalist Joannie Rochette.

"It's quite exciting to see them again face-to-face after Vancouver," said Rochette during an Interview on MBC regarding Yuna Kim and Mao Asada.

"Yuna is such an expressive skater, not only her face but her whole body. She hasn't lost anything and she got so much better after Vancouver."

Now, Yuna Kim is officially retired and will not be competing at the 2014 World Figure Skating Championship at the end of this month. Her rival Mao Asada will compete, however.

Now that Yuna Kim is retired, perhaps she will have more time to see her boyfriend!
