Lebron James Sleeve Jersey Rant Not An Excuse For Losing! More Players Complain! Is This The Last Time The NBA Requires Them?

Lebron James is being honest, but he doesn't realize that he is unconsciously fueling the Hate Machine. His comments about the sleeved jersey will portray him as a whiner-but he is actually not alone.

On Latin Nights, a new version of the team sleeved jersey aka 'SHIRT' made its debut, sporting the Latin version of their jerseys. Lebron James talked to Sun Sentinel about it:

"I'm not making excuses. I'm not a big fan of the jerseys, not a big fan of them. I've got to figure something out the next time I wear the short-sleeved jerseys. I already don't have much room for error on my jumpers." This is the last time (for the season) Miami wears sleeved jerseys.

For a cunning fox like Manu Ginobili, instead of complaining, find a solution. While Lebon tries to 'figure something out,' Manu is already there: "I got a bigger size. In the morning, I went to shoot and I felt it was a little tight ... In my case, the size I usually play with it, I had to bump one more because I need the freedom. I'm not used to playing with braces, pads, stuff like that."

The usually stoic and silent Kawhi Leonard, surprisingly, had some words: "I don't like the sleeve jerseys, either. Just something I'm not used to. Just felt a little tight."

Chris Bosh also shared his feelings, and cited the difference with his more illustrious teammate: "I'm not as big as LeBron. His shoulders are a little bit bigger than mine. He likes to wear smaller sizes. He kept saying it was tugging on his underarm a little bit. I've always said I'm more of an old-school type of basketball player. They've been having tank top jerseys for 100 years. They should keep it that way."

To sum it up, Dwyane Wade will reiterate and defend his running mate: "It ain't the reason we lost. You're just not used to it. They [the Spurs] didn't have a problem with it. It is what it is. Let's not make this about a jersey, please. We got our butts kicked. That's it."

The Suns didn't have a problem with it either. They beat the Thunder who did not have the sleeves that night. Maybe they had the 'lucky edition.'

The sleeved jerseys/shirts were used as a marketing ploy. The league observed that more people like to wear shirts than tank tops/sleeveless/jersey. By having shirts as uniforms, they can tap into that demographic. From a financial standpoint, the experiment was successful but if more players complain, the league might have to discontinue.
