MacBook Air Retina Release Date: Apple's Portable Laptop Rumored To Launch Cheaper, Slimmer Than Ever, Non-Retina 13" MacBook Pro To Be Discontinued
MacBook Air Retina release date: If you are thinking of getting a MacBook Air as a portable laptop you can bring to work or use at home, then you may want to hold out for a few more months.
According to a recent report, the ultra-thin laptop would soon have its Retina edition.
In a report by Christian Post, a news post from the International Business Times claims that the MacBook Air Retina has already been given a release date in Apple's WWDC event in June.
Rumors circulating about the upcoming Air laptop include a much cheaper pricetag, a thinner frame, and of course, Retina display which has already been used in the company's Pro lineups.
Another interesting rumor is that the upcoming MacBook Air Retina could also have a bigger 12-inch screen, as opposed to today's 11.6-inch Airs.
Meanwhile, in another report by DigiTimes, the Cupertino manufacturer is rumored to soon discontinue the development of the non-Retina 13-inch MacBook Pros.
It was October last year that the 15-inch models have been discontinued and it's only a matter of time until Apple permanently stops production of the non-Retina Pros.
