Upcoming Android Phones 2014: OnePlus One Beats Samsung Galaxy Note 3 In Benchmarking App, Developed By CyanogenMod Team, Rumored Pricing Below $400

Upcoming Android phones 2014: If you are looking for a high-end smartphone that does not come from the major players such as Samsung, LG, HTC or Sony, you may want to check this droid.

From the team that brings the CyanogenMod comes the OnePlus One.

It may sound funny, but from past reports, the phone is actually a threat to high-end flagship devices from well known manufacturers today. And in a new update, it has even cemented itself even in performance.

The fact that you beat the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in a popular benchmarking app is proof that the team is indeed working on a masterpiece.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the OnePlus One appeared in AnTuTu and listed a score of 36,715, edging the Note 3 in first place. That is pretty impressive considering both the device and Samsung's flagship phablet packs the same variant of Snapdragon 800 chipset.

What's even more exciting is that reports claim that this Android-powered device is tipped to arrive at only below $400.

The OnePlus One droid would launch sometime in Q2 of 2014.
