TVXQ Proves To Be 'Hallyu' Status With Their Continuous Winning Streak On Japan Oricon Chart

Group TVXQ has yet again kept their number 1 spot on the Japan Oricon chart.

On March 12, Oricon revealed that TVXQ's new album, TREE, sold another 3,956 albums since they released it on March 5, and kept their number 1 spot on the daily album chart.

On March 11, they sold 25,000 copies for the Oricon weekly album chart and had ranked number 1. In total, this is their 4th time that they have topped the weekly album chart. This record surpasses the previously held record by foreign group, Bon Jobi's 20,000 albums sold over 13 years ago.

TVXQ is currently holding the record with 12 number one spots held by a foreign group, which shows just how popular TVXQ is in Japan.

Howeve, U-Know Yunho recently suffered an injury during practice. SM Entertainment revealed on the 12th that TVXQ's U-Know Yunho became injured in his right ankle during practice. He went to the hospital due to this injury, and was diagnosed that he needs to rest for one to two weeks. Because of this injury, TVXQ's previously scheduled appearance in Mnet's "M Countdown" and KBS 2TV's "Music Bank" were canceled, and SBS's "Ingikayo" appearance was replaced with pre-recorded footages.

On the other hand, T-ARA was seen at number 8 on the daily single chart and CNBLUE's DVD was seen at number 3 on the DVD chart.
