She was really despicable. Yoo In Na played Se Ri, a girl group member nobody-turned-top-star (MBC "The Greatest Love"), the 'mean sister' Yoo Shin who treated her younger sister like an ugly duckling (KBS2 "You're the Best, Lee Soon Shin"), and finally the Se Mi the despicable best friend (SBS "My Love from the Star").

Se Mi is bizarre goddess Chun Song Ee(Jun Ji Hyun)'s best friend on the show. From the first and second episode, it seemed as though Se Mi would bring about a really shocking twist somewhere down the line. Her nice face and nervous eyes made viewers suspect that one day she would backstab Chun Song Ee or do something to that effect. Viewers were curious and in great anticipation. As the drama progressed, Se Mi's character became increasingly despicable, all the while pretending to be nice. To be fair, the viewers felt sorry for her when they found out that she had pursued a 15-year long unrequited love for Lee Hwi Kyung (played by Park Hae Jin), who only showed interest in Chun Song Ee.

"It wasn't easy playing the role of Se Mi. The director and writer asked me to act like a character that looks very nice at first, but is able to backstab someone later. A villain is a villain, but I wanted to express it a little differently. You know, there are those types of people. Those people who can't honestly express themselves and are a little awkward and constantly wary of the circumstances and unable to yell."

Yoo Se Mi is quite different from Yoo In Na. Unlike Se Mi, who can't say what she wants to, Yoo In Na is the type who says everything she needs to. As a 4 year radio DJ, Yoo In Na is quick to lend an ear, and gives advice from her experiences and thoughts. She gave off a comfortable 'girl next door' vibe. Although she enjoyed her character, there were many moments when it was hard for her to understand the character. Regarding the 15 years of unrequited love, Yoo In Na said, "I don't want want to do that, nor do I think I can."

"It was hard for me to understand. I thought that if I try to understand then I would be able to know human's actions and emotions in one minute. Se Mi didn't receive love from her parents, and her brother was too busy to take care of her. There was no one in the family to look after Se Mi. There were no opportunities for Se Mi to be happy in matters of friendship, love, family, and work. That's why she turned out to be such a despicable person."

However what was most disappointing was that only Yoo In Na was able to explain the character. Towards the latter half of the series, Yoo In Na's character had less influence on the show, and although at one point it was speculated that she would deliver a blow, that's not what happened. She stayed close by Oh Sang Jin and went to and from holding freshly cut fruit.

"Dramas must show all the characters and story through a set amount of time. That's why it is relative. The viewers most likely wanted to see more of Chun Song Ee and Do Min Joon's love story, so I know and understand that's what should happen."
