Philly will need to win one game over the next six in order to avoid tying the 2010-11 Cleveland squad that set an NBA record with 26 straight defeats. Only one team in that upcoming stretch has a losing record -- New York, which has won six straight, according to ESPN.com.

"Any win we have right now would be considered an upset," coach Brett Brown said. "That's the way it's played out at this stage."

Michael Carter-Williams scored 23 points and Thaddeus Young had 20 on Saturday for Philadelphia, which is doing all it can to remain positive during its dismal stretch.

"This is not slit-your-wrist time. This is not even close to that," said Brown, whose team has not led in the fourth quarter and has lost by an average of 18.2 points during its skid. "This is about building a program and understanding the short-term pain for a lot of long-term gain. That's my vision. That's how I approach it."

Andrew Bynum, who was inactive in the last meeting and hasn't faced the Sixers since not playing for them due to injuries last season, added 15 points and nine rebounds.

"Really proud of our guys," coach Frank Vogel said. "I did not like the deficit we built especially in that first half, but we stayed with the game and came back with better energy."
