The Rockets turned an 11-point deficit in the second quarter into a five-point lead with 6:13 to go but allowed Miami to outscore them 21-7 down the stretch. The against the back-to-back defending NBA champions marked the third straight loss for the Rockets. In a very tough three-game road trip, Houston went 0-3, but lost to the Thunder in Oklahoma City, the Bulls in Chicago and the Heat in Miami.

"We're good. We're in a good place. (We had) two tough games in Oklahoma City and (Miami), and in Chicago we just had one of those games that a lot of teams have," James Harden told ESPN.com. "So we go back home tomorrow for a good one."

James Harden had 30 points after being held to eight in a 111-87 defeat to Chicago on Thursday, but it was not enough for the big win. The Rockets have now slipped to fourth place and trail the Clippers by three games for the third seed and are ahead of the Blazers by a game and a half.

Derrick Favors' career-best 28 points on 12-of-19 shooting and 10 rebounds provided a bright spot for Utah, but the loss to the Spurs on Sunday marked the fourth straight loss for this young franchise.

"This was a great night for me," Favors said. "My teammates did a good job of finding me in the post and in my spots, and I was hitting shots. Just one of those nights for me."
