It was Charlotte's worst shooting performance on Monday since posting a season-low 31.3 mark in a 99-74 loss to Indiana on Nov. 27.
"We've just got to be focused and have the energy," center Al Jefferson told ESPN.com. "We can't make up excuses as far as being back to back or whatever because it's the NBA."
It was a loss to Atlanta, thus putting the Hawks at a game and a half out of the Bobcats for the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. No team wants to finish seventh or eighth because they would have to play the Miami Heat or Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. The Cats trail the Washington Wizards by two and a half games for the sixth seed in the conference.
Darin Williams, who battled ankle problems earlier in the season, has scored a combined 17 while shooting 5 of 16 in two meetings with the Bobcats. Right now, he's healthier than he's ever been this season.
"I'm definitely feeling better," the three-time All-Star told ESPN.com. "Still not jumping that high, as you can tell, but definitely feeling better and more confident every day."
