The March Madness continues as the UCONN vs St. Joe's game will start the second half of games on Thursday, following the first eight that took place early in the afternoon. The Hawks are coming off winning the Atlantic 10 tournament, which included a win over VCU in the final. Now, they look to keep the momentum after they bounced back from a blowout loss on Dec. 7 to crosstown rival Villanova. St. Joe's lost by almost 30 points. Since then, the Hawks went 20-5.

"We hated having that feeling," Senior Halil Kanacevic told ESPN.com about that loss to Nova. "That was probably the worst feeling we've had since we've been here. We didn't want to go out like that."

For UCONN, this will be the first time in the tournament since winning it two years ago when Kemba Walker led this team to a Big East title and a National Championship in the same season. Now the Huskies are a part of the American Conference and will be in the tournament for the first time with Kevin Ollie as the coach. Jim Calhoun retired as a national champion two seasons ago.

"Coach Calhoun is like a father figure to me," Ollie told ESPN.com, noting he still leans on his mentor for advice. "I never went in there like I'm going to fill those shoes and try to be coach Calhoun. I've got to be Kevin Ollie."
