Hulk Hogan, WWE Legend, Pulls a Cinderella; Hulk Hogan’s $5,500 Autographed Shoe Returned

Hulk Hogan, WWE legend, got his autographed shoe back.

Hul Hogan's autographed, $5500 shoe was stolen but was eventually returned two days later

The Clearwater Police Department is investigating a 55-year-old Trenton woman for allegedly stealing an autographed wrestling shoe worn by Hulk Hogan. The autographed memento was taken from Hulk Hogan's shop.

Last Sunday at about 5:20 p.m. four women walked into Hulk Hogan's Beach Shop. Store workers were temporarily distracted a few minutes later when a large statue of Hulk Hogan fell over outside the property. While the store workers tended to the fallen statue, a woman took Hogan's autographed shoe and fled.

The theft was caught by the store's security camera, but the store workers didn't realize Hulk Hogan's shoe was gone until Tuesday. Employees watched the security film and called police.

Hulk Hogan filed a police complaint under his real name Terry Gene Bollea, according to the police report.

Clearwater, Florida, police say the woman says she "had done a stupid thing." The woman who stole Hulk Hogan's shoe went back to Michigan but left the shoe behind and arranged for someone to return it to the store.

The woman's name was not released. Police said no charges have been filed but the woman has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

The 60-year-old Hogan gave the world "Hulkamania" in the 1980s. He is a six-time WWE champion and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

Hulk Hogan hasn't been seen in the WWE since their SummerSlam PPV in 2007. In 2006, Hulgan faced Randy Orton as part of a short run that started in 2005 when he teamed with Shawn Michaels, who Hogan was later matched against in a well, unforgettable fight.

Hogan left WWE in the 1990s to join its chief competitor, World Championship Wrestling, in 1994. He renamed himself Hollywood Hogan and became a "heel," or a bad-guy wrestler.  Hogan came back to the WWE in 2002. In 2005, Hulk starred in the reality TV series "Hogan Knows Best" four seasons on VH1 until his daughter, Brooke premiered her spinooff "Brooke Knows Best" in 2008 which ran for two seasons.
