Dell Venue XPS 12 Review: Specs Of Windows Powered Convertible W/ 12.5-inch Full HD Display Sports 4th Gen Intel iCore; Device Was ‘Snap Into Shape’ & Delivers On Performance

Dell XPS 12 review: Specs of the Windows-powered ultrabook convertible Dell XPS 12 includes a 12.5-inch Full HD display, 4th-gen Intel iCore processor and a durable design.

The Verge, in their review with the sub-headline, “For this spinning laptop, the third’s time a charm,” says that the machine was “snap into shape.” The tech site says that the “XPS 12 is the perfect laptop for commuter rail.”

Dell XPS 12’s key feature is a 12.5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels that pivots inside its aluminum frame, PC World notes on its own review. Once you open the XPS 12’s lid, you can use the computer just like any other notebook. You just need to push the top front or bottom

One key downside with the Dell XPS 12 is that it’s heavy, especially when held with only one hand. There are also some occasional delay in screen-orientation switch. The Dell XPS 12 also only has two USB ports.

On the positive side, the Dell XPS 12 has a keyboard that is not exposed in tablet mode. It also has outstanding battery life and includes an 802.11 ac Wi-Fi adapter.

Price for the Dell XPS 12 starts at $999.99 for its entry-level variant.

Dell XPS 12 is now available in major retailers. Both Dell and the Microsoft Store usually offers multiple deals on the unit. Dell describes that the Dell XPS 12 “transforms easily from Ultrabook™ to tablet mode, letting you work and play on your own terms on its 12.5” HD display.”
