Amanda Knox retrial update revealed a coroner's report that concluded that Meredith Kercher was "unlawfully killed," which is just Brit slang to describe someone who died of unnatural causes. Meanwhile, convicted killer, dubbed by the media as "Foxy Knoxy" is gearing up for an appeal.

The coroner, Dr. Roy Palmer, officially closed the inquest into the murder of the British student six years after the fact, Mirror said.

The inquest proceedings at Croydon Coroner's Court in South London on March 25 lasted just five minutes. Not one family representative of the victim attended the hearing, the publication added.

The coroner added that the family is "keen for closure" after the 2007 murder, so it was just "appropriate that I do bring some closure to them by completing the inquest," Mirror added.

"She died, the autopsy tells us, as a result of haemorraghic shock from stab and incised wounds to the vasculature of the neck. I do conclude that she was unlawfully killed," Dr. Palmer said, per MailOnline.

The convicted killer has already said that she will appeal the decision after the Amanda Knox retrial resulted in the Italy's Supreme Court upholding the guilty verdict and sentencing her to 28 and ½ years in prison. Her boyfriend and co-defendant, Raffael Sollecito, was sentenced to 25 years.

In an interview with UK's Daybreak  late last year, Amanda Knox claimed that she was already convicted wrongfully and she's not the person "who the prosecution says I am. I'm not the person who their lawyer says I am. I care about Meredith. I care about Justice for her."

Despite the Amanda Knox retrial update clearly not in her favor, "Foxy Knoxy"-who's now in her hometown in Seattle awaiting extradition to Italy-said that's she's very much willing to take a lie detector test.

"This, a lie detector test, would be just ... I would be fine with that," she toldDaybreak. "

"There was no reason for me to have done this. There is nothing that is a part of me that would ever do something like this," Amanda Knox said.
