It was a thriller of a matchup against North Carolina last week to advance to the sweet 16, but thanks to a DeAndre Kane with under a second remaining in the game, the Hawkeyes won the game by two points. He had 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds in the victory.  

Hoiberg's up-tempo approach has allowed him to repeatedly overhaul his roster with transfers and keep winning and it has been exemplified by Kane's play.

"Just letting us play free, giving us the confidence to go out there and play, play for each other," said DeAndre Kane, who has thrived in his one season in Ames after coming over from Marshall.

Shabazz Napier is the key ingredient for the Huskies to advance further in the NCAA Tournament. The senior averages 24.5 PPG, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 5.9 rebounds. Napier is expected to be mostly on Kane in Friday's matchup.

Napier senses an edge from all those fans making the short trip to the Garden, according to ESPN.com.

"When we are at home games and we're tired, and they get us going, I don't think anybody on the court would be tired after that," he said. "Guys are just exerting all their energy that they possibly have and pushing themselves to get the game."
