Buy Google Glass Online: NBA Players Use AR Lens On Court For Full Fan Interaction; Sacramento Kings And Indiana Pacers Sample The Glasses On Court [Video]

Buy Google Glass Online: Google is out to release within the year their much anticipated product, the Google Glass. This wearable technology, also known as wearable computer and augmented reality glasses, is equipped with an optical head-mounted display that could control gadgets, take pictures, give you useful information on almost anything just by looking at something and just by clicking or touching the glass.

In line with this and anticipation for the official release, Google has tested out their AR lenses on a few NBA teams such as the Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers, where they wore the Google Glass while on practice and during shoot around.

Renowned designer Marc Newson, although thinks very badly of the new glasses and have some harsh words for the new gadget.

"What Google have done thus far, I wouldn't be seen dead wearing. It looks pretty stupid," he said in an interview withDeezen. "It's a little bit like that wonderful invention called the Segway. It's such a fantastic piece of technology but you just look like a complete dick when you drive around on it ... That's where the bridge to the world of fashion really doesn't, or didn't, work. That's precisely the moment when I think the fashion world laughs at the world of industrial design, justifiably."

Google X, the same technology that worked and produced driverless cars, made these glasses.

The tech giant launched the campaign last year and only allowed selected people to take part and experience the glasses by signing up to their Glass Explorer Program.

A hefty price of $1,500 plus tax is marked by Google for their Glass Explorer Program.

Analysts speculate that Google Glass will hit the markets sometime this year. It's expected to cost around $600 once it's released, similar to the price point of a high-end smartphone.
