Dallas managed to score four times on one of the best defensive teams in the NHL in the St. Louis Blues en route to its second straight win.

"It's not a must-win situation quite yet, but with the teams ahead of us winning games, we've got to keep pace," forward Colton Sceviour, who had two goals in the win, told NHL.com. "We were playing a really good team in the second game of a back-to-back with travel and it's huge to come in here and get a victory."

The victory marked Dallas' second over the West-leading Blues in March.

"I don't know if desperation is the word. That kind of sounds bad," Sceviour, who also had a goal and an assist in Friday's 7-3 win over Nashville, told ESPN.com. "But definitely we feel like these are games we need to win. This is a start and we want to build off it."

The Capitals have received one point in two of the three straight losses. They need two as they're a handful of teams in the mix for the two wild card spots in the East.

"There aren't enough games left to be too positive about only getting one point," said defenseman John Carlson, who recorded his 23rd assist Sunday. "Yeah, it is a point, but it's only going to make our road harder."
