Mao Asada Meets League Of Legends After Winning 2014 World Figure Skating Championships With Personal Best Score: Triple Axel Sochi Skater Contemplating Retirement [VIDEO]

As Mao Asada becomes a world figure skating champion once again, she is enjoying an unlikely crossover with the video game League of Legends.

As you can see from this GIF of Mao Asada, a dedicated fan animated the Olympic figure skater using a powerful ice mage.

But why else is Mao Asada getting all the attention?

The figure skater recently became a three-time world figure skating champion after scoring a personal best of 216.69 points.

"I was able to control myself and I have done what I had to do," Asada said according to USA Today. "I was much more nervous than I was for the short program but the cheering from the fans was with me and made me relax."

15-year old Julia Lipnitskaia earned the silver medal, and Carolina Kostner of Italy finished in third place. American figure skaters Gracie was fifth while Ashley Wagner was seventh.

"It is a shame that I missed the salchow," Lipnitskaia said. "I didn't do it correctly, therefor I fell. In practice I struggled with it as well and for the next season, we need to fix it."

And yet, despite main rival Yuna Kim retiring right after the 2014 Sochi Olympics, Mao Asada is still uncertain about her future.

"I will skate with thanks for people around the country. I will then think about it with a calm frame of mind."

The 'it' Mao Asada is referring to is retirement, and right now the figure skater is "50-50" on the decision.

Do you think Mao Asada has what it takes to keep up with the younger skaters and continue skating?
