Windows 8.1 Update To Launch Tomorrow, Would Make Life Easier For Mouse And Keyboard Users, Slated To Bring Back Taskbars, 'Visual Cues' For Better Interaction

Windows 8.1 update: For a long time, have you been thinking about upgrading your 2-year laptop to Windows 8 and 8.1, but you're afraid to have a difficult time with the touch-focused interface? Then worry no more once the 8.1 update is launched to PCs and tablets.

According to a report by BGR, the update's features will be showcased during the BUILD conference tomorrow, and keyboard and mouse users would surely be delighted at what Microsoft has in store for them.

In previous reports, the upcoming Windows 8.1 Update 1 will see the return of the taskbar, and other 'visual cues' to help users who primarily use the mouse and keyboard, most probably because their computers do not have a touch screen.

"Microsoft will be providing Windows 8.1 users who interact primarily with a mouse and keyboard a task bar and other visual cues to make navigating Windows 8.1 easier, according to sources and those who downloaded the leaked bits", according to a report by ZDNet

Unfortunately, it looks like the original Start button will not make a comeback after all, though there will be other features which promise to work perfectly for Windows users.

In the report, some bits and pieces about the upcoming Windows 9 will also be unveiled so we better stay tuned for that.
