Newcastle United will face off against rival Manchester City on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Newcastle United, coming out of a 4-0 loss to Southampton, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Newcastle United Manager Alan Pardew said he is set for summer rebuilding with his team, Sky Sports reports.

"I thought this summer would be a summer of that because the age of our players, the quality we have got, you were guessing that one or two might go," he said, according to the site.

"And with the players that we have with a year left (on their existing contracts) and those who are up, it was always a big job this summer."

Manchester United, coming out of a 4-1 win over Aston Villa, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Manchester United Manager David Moyes said he believes his side can score the goals necessary to get through to the Champions League semi-finals as they prepare to go "toe to toe" with Bayern Munich once again, Sky Sports reports.

"I always felt that we could score a goal against them, and I'll go to Munich believing that we can score a goal," Moyes told Sky Sports News.

"Coming into the tie, most people had Bayern as favourites for the game and rightly so - they are European champions."
