NCAA Final Four 2014: UConn's Shabazz Napier Is Breakout Star Of The Tournament! Senior Guard Has NBA GM's Turning Their Heads!

The College Basketball season is drawing to a close. The Finals is down to Kentucky, with the best freshman class ever assembled, and Connecticut-a team led by senior guard Shabazz Napier.

Napier has become the top player in the tournament as seventh-seed UConn topped the 2nd, 3rd and 4th seeds in their region to gain a ticket to the Final Four. They then beat overall no. 1 Florida for a seat in the Finals.

Who is Shabazz Napier? Is he really a clutch player? Let's hear from his teammates:

From ESPN: Phillip Nolan, sophomore forward says "Whether it's in a big game or a small game, whenever he takes a contested 3-pointer, like off the dribble, I always think, like, man, he's definitely ready for the NBA. ... It was actually last year. I forgot who we were playing against, but he was in the corner, something happened, he, like, did a pivot and just, like, turned backwards and kind of spun and everybody thought he was going this way and he just turned back and shot a fadeaway 3 and he hit it. I'm like, 'Oh my god.'"

Teammate Omar Calhoun, a sophomore guard, points out Napier's main asset:

"I'd just say his footwork. He gets his feet set quick, and he's got perfect ball control, can shoot the ball from anywhere. ... I don't see him necessarily being the fastest guy on the court, but I see him as being the smartest one. He knows how to change speeds, so when it comes to stopping and going or changing direction, he's quick to do that, which makes him deceptively quick."

Performing big time at college basketball's biggest stage, the spotlight on Shabazz shone so well even the scouts took notice. Despite the low regard for senior, undersized guards, Napier has been given second looks.

From NESN: "I think he's a first-round pick. First of all, he's got the ball on a string, great ball control, great understanding of the game. He's got tremendous confidence, he's a knockdown shooter from the perimeter. And he's got a big heart."
