It's been quite some time since Matt Smith and Karen Gillan have been together on screen as the "Doctor Who" duo, but during a recent premiere of Karen Gillan's latest movie "Oculus," the pair seemed radiant and close.

In 2012, Karen Gillan reportedly split with former boyfriend Patrick Green, a photographer. Although the pair was together for six years, they were known to be fiercely private.

Since the split, many have been wondering whether Karen Gillan has a new boyfriend in her life, but speculations have been hard to come by.

Interestingly enough, this is not the first time Karen Gillan and Matt Smith have been rumored to be dating.

Still, with both parties busy with their burgeoning careers, it's most likely loyal friendship and good chemistry than an actual romance.

Karen Gillan will next be seen playing the villainess Nebula in "Guardians of the Galaxy."

“I did a lot of training for that role,” said Gillan according to Comic Book. “I had to work out for two months before. They wanted me to bulk up a little bit, which is funny, because that didn’t really happen. I really tried though.”

“And then, I had to do fight training every day that I wasn’t shooting. They told me that you have to do something six thousand times before it’s second nature. I didn’t manage to do the routine six thousand times, but we certainly tried.”
