Loch Ness Monster Captured as Apple Maps Image, But Is It a Boat or an Apple Image? New Loch Ness Monster Picture Has Skeptics Yawning

Loch Ness Monster pictures are nothing new. Neither are Loch Ness Monster picture hoaxes. The most celebrated picture of Nessie was proven a hoax by the lensman on his death bed. It was made of wood. But Loch Ness Monster enthusiasts say they've sighted the Loch Ness Monster through satellite images on Apple Maps.

Why didn't we think of that before? If the Loch Ness Monster could be found on Apple iOS maps when even sonar couldn't do it, maybe someone should just stalk The Loch Ness Monster by stalking the lake all the time. That's not how Andrew Dixon, 26, did it. He told London's Daily Mail he found it by accident.

"It was a total fluke that I found it," Dixon says. "I was looking at satellite images of my town and then just thought I'd have a look at Loch Ness. The first thing that came into my head when I saw it was, 'That's the Loch Ness Monster.' It was the shape of it; I thought it had to be something more than a shadow."

But is it the Loch Ness Monster?

Gary Campbell the president of The Official Loch Ness Monster Fan Club told the Mail "It looks like a boat wake, but the boat is missing. You can see some boats moored at the shore, but there isn't one here. We've shown it to boat experts and they don't know what it is."Whatever this is, it is under the water and heading south, so unless there have been secret submarine trials going on in the loch, the size of the object would make it likely to be Nessie."

Experts studied the image for months and finally said, sure, this pic is most "likely" the Loch Ness Monster. What else could it be?

Campbell told ABC "Nobody has been able to explain what it is. It's pretty large, so it's not a seal or an otter. It's also not a whale or basking shark as some people claim, because they wouldn't go in fresh water."

The Loch Ness Monster has eluded searches using state-of-the-art sonar equipment, a yellow submarine, psychics, seers and witches. But the Loch Ness Monster can't hide from  Apple.

Cynic Chris Matyszczyk, of CNet, says maybe Apple manufactured the image "It's clear the company's executives have been worried that Samsung has stolen the mantle of cool...but surely Apple can have nothing to do with the revelation that the Loch Ness Monster has suddenly become visible on Apple Maps. And only on Apple Maps."
