Teri Polo Bankruptcy: Teri Polo, `The Fosters’ Star, Files for Bankruptcy; Teri Polo Sued By Landlord Who Claims She Left Dog Crap, Rotting Food in Rental House

Teri Polo Bankruptcy Update: Teri Polo might not be the girl you'd want to bring home to Meet the Parents. Teri comes with a price tag and might have some questionable cleanliness habits, according to TMZ.

Actress Teri Polo filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. According to TMZ Polo owes more than $1 million in tax and credit card debts. Most of the $1 million is owed to the Internal Revenue Service, according to TMZ.

In official documents scrutinized by TMZ, it comes out that Teri Polo owes about $772,000 to the IRS and approximately $36,000 to credit card companies.

Polo, who can be seen now in the ABC Family original series The Fosters, is also being sued by her former landlord the celebrity lawyer, Ed McPherson, for $30,000. McPherson claims Polo allegedly moved out of a rental apartment in Los Angeles by ruined the carpets with dog feces and urine. MacPherson also alleges that Teri left food rot in the fridge.

Polo was paying $7,000 per month rent.

Teri Polo is best known as Ben Stiller's fiancee and ultimate wife, in the "Meet the Parents" movie trilogy. Polo had a recurring role on "The West Wing" from 2005 to 2006. Polo has also appeared on such shows as "Castle," "Criminal Minds," and "Law & Order: LA." Polo once posed nude for Playboy Magazine.
