On April 24, Gaon Charts stated that they experienced a 5% reduction in online digital music sales since the April 16 Sewol sinking.

Gaon Charts explained: "Since the Sewol sinking, a 5% reduction in digital track sales have been noted. The rest of K-Pop has been laying low in grief."

Musicians that had been scheduled for a comeback pushed back their album release date in grief over the incident; promotions, show programs, and music shows have repeatedly been canceled.

Gaon Chart's #1 has been shown to be 15&'s new track "Can't Hide It". The song ranked #1 on Gaon Chart's weekly digital comprehensive charts and download charts.

The song received 21,298,535 points on comprehensive charts, recording 251,677 downloads. 

#2 on the Gaon charts was achieved by Akdong Musician's "200%", #3 by High4 and IU's "Not Spring, Love, or Chery Blossoms", #4 by Park Si Hwan's "I Just Loved You".
