iPad 5 News, Update: Microsoft Office For Apple’s Tablet Gives Rich Sets Of Tools; ‘Belongs To iPads Of Officer Users’

iPad 5 news, update: Millions of iPad Airs have been sold and countless more of it’s fourth-gen version. And finally, the flagship Apple tablet and its variants have received an iOS-powered version of the Microsoft Office suite.

The set of apps that were released last March is described by CNET as a great middle ground for desktop and smartphone versions of the app. The tech site noted that Microsoft Office for iPad is packed with tools and elegantly optimized for the touchscreen, saying, “it belongs to the iPads of Officer users.”

Microsoft made separate apps for the Office suite instead of following a one-app-gives-all set-up for the iPhone. By doing so there are far more features in each app. The bigger screen of the iPad gives more room to work with and the company took advantage of the setting with better tools, more templates and touch-focused controls that are intuitive, familiar and works great on-the-go.

CNET warns, however, that before the user downloads any of these apps, it must be noted that the free version of the Microsoft Office gives limited features. All the three apps allows the user to connect to OneDrive to browse the files and read Word, Power Point and Excel documents for free.

In order to get the full benefits of the app, which includes the ability to create and edit documents, the user will need a subscription with Office 365. Microsoft allows the user to work on documents from anywhere.
