Kim Soo Hyun, 'All Black' Fashion At Event In China 'So Thoughtful'

Actor Kim Soo Hyun wore an all-black outfit at a Chinese event in wake of the Sewol ferry incident.

On April 18, Kim Soo Hyun attended the Samsung Galaxy S5 launching party showcase held in Beijing, China. Samsung said, "It's a Chinese event and many celebrities had already agreed to come so it was hard for us to cancel."

Kim Soo Hyun had no choice but to attend as well.

As the event was only a few days after the announcement of the Sewol ferry sinking, Kim Soo Hyun appeared in an all-black suit.

As this news spread out through the Internet, many complimented Kim Soo Hyun for being thoughtful, stating, "He must've felt very uncomfortable attending it too." Some news outlets commented, "He looks a bit sad."

The "My Love From the Star" actor also visited Singapore this past weekend for a fan meeting, in which he wore a black suit as well.

The fan meeting was held on April 26 at the Singapore Expo.

Intitally, fans had feared that Kim Soo Hyun would not be in attendance, due to tragedy in South Korea.

However, Channelnewsasia reports that the 26-year-old actor made sure to smile and give his fans the attention and love they deserve.

He reportedly came on stage and sang "Dreaming" in front of hundreds of screaming fans.

The actor even went on to encourage his fans to loosen up and have fun, stating, "Don't look so serious, you're not here to learn!"

Kim playfully invited fans onstage to pose for a photo with him. The fans, who were randomly selected from a draw, had to re-enact poses from Kim Soo Hyun's past promotional posters.

The two hour fan meeting reportedly ended with tears from both Kim and his fans.

As much as fans appreciated Kim Soo Hyun's attendance in Singapore this past weekend, it's evident that he is still thinking about the tragedy back at home.

Korea Herald reports that Kim recently joined the yellow ribbon campaign in support of the passengers of the sunken ferry.

He reportedly posted an image of the yellow ribbon on his official website with the caption, "I hope all our hearts reach heaven."

Kim also donated W300 million to Danwon High School, which had 339 teachers and students left dead or missing after the Sewol capsized.
