The casting for musical "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN" was revealed.

On April 29, SM C&C's first musical "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN" unveiled its cast.

Musical "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN" features classic songs "Singin' in the Rain" and "Good Morning", showing the legendary scene of male lead Don Lockwood doing a tap dance routine in the rain.

For the role of Don Lockwood, the male lead of "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN", TRAX's Jay, Super Junior's Kyuhyun, and EXO's Baekhyun were cast.

Jay, who chose "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN" as his first work after his discharge from the army in March, stated: "I'm happy to be meeting fans through a great musical piece. I'm a bit worried because the musical requires me to do a lot of tap dancing and ballet routines, but I'm practicing hard to stage a perfect performance".

Kyuhyun continued: "I'm excited to be cast in a musical that I love. I'm happy to learn tap dancing and sing songs that I love on the stage. I hope this helps me grow as a musical actor".

Baekhyun, whose first musical work will be "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN", claimed: "This is my first musical, so I'm both nervous and excited at the same time. I'll try my best to express Don Lockwood, a character that came off as quite charming to me."

As Kathy Selden, a talented actress who falls in love with Don Lockwood, Girls' Generation's Sunny, musical actresses Bang Jin Ei, and Choi Soo Jin were cast.

Sunny stated: "I enjoyed the movie tremendously, so I'm glad to be a part of the musical. I'll try my best to give a great performance." The two musical actresses also expressed their excitement, stating that Kathy Selden reminded them of themselves as they struggled to be actresses. Expectations for the three distinctly charming Kathy is high.

For the role of popular actress Lina Lamont, music actress Baek Joo Hee and The Grace's Sunday was cast while Lee Byung Kwon and Yuk Hyun Wook play the role of Cosmo Brown, Don Lockwood's best friend.

Kim Jae Sung, producer of musical "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN", explained: "Although the musical is based on a classic film, modern and trendy performances are its highlights. We plan to draw a wide range of crowds through our musical's dynamic energy, dance, music, and acting".

He added: "We also use 15,000 L of water for the staging of the musical; we hope that "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN" will be a happy musical that everyone can enjoy".

Meanwhile, musical "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN" is staged on June 5-August 3 at Seoul's Choongmu Art Hall.
