Oh Jong Hyuk Cast for Musical “Blood Brothers”

Singer and actor Oh Jong Hyuk was cast as the male lead for musical "Blood Brothers".

Oh Jong Hyuk was cast for the role of Eddie, a twin born with a tragic fate. He will act alongside actors Song Chang Ei and Cho Jung Suk.

Eddie is the twin brother of Micky, but he is torn away from his family and instead adopted into the poor home of the Johnstons. The two brothers are drawn to one another after 7 years on one eventful night, and pledges brotherhood.

The actors playing the twins need to be skillful actors to portray the 20 years of Eddie and Mickey from their youth years to adulthood. Oh Jong Hyuk demonstrated his value as an actor through the casting of this role.

Oh Jong Hyuk, who gained acclaim for his work in musicals "Thrill Me", and "JSA", became a rising musical star through many works with talented cast. Musical fans' expectations are brought to an all-time high as Oh Jong Hyuk is cast for this challenging role.

Musical "Blood Brothers" is the touching and tragic story of twin brothers Micky and Eddie's twisted fate, performed over 10,000 times in 24 years since its first performance in England's Westend. For the Korean performances, Westend's greatest producer Glen Walford will come to Korea to direct the timeless classic. The musical will be staged from June 27 to September 14 at Daehakro's Art Center.
