SM Establishes Everysing Japan and Donates 10,000,000 Yen to Sewol

SM Entertainment's director Lee Soo Man collaborates with AVI Group's CBO Shinzi, Universal Music Japan's CEO Hujikura to establish Everysing Japan this May.

Lee Soo Man has decided to strengthen digital music relations, holding their signing ceremony on May 30.

On this day, SM, AVI, and Universal Music Japan have decided to take a step further than the content-providing business model they originally had to create a distinct service based on the strengths of the three companies.

Everysing, a karaoke application, is planned for release in Japan through Everysing Japan in September. The application allows users to sing, record, share their song on SNS, and even try out in auditions. It will feature services like a duet function with artists.

Universal Music Japan's CEO Hujikura expects Everysing to provide a music repertoire to fit the daily lifestyles of a broad audience.

SM's Lee Soo Man stated: "Digital music application Everysing's expansion in the Japanese market is not a mere content provider but a new business model that combines contents and culture platform; We will try out best to create a new digital lifestyle through Everysing".

Lee Soo Man mentioned the Sewol incident during their talk, to which the two CEOs expressed grief and sympathy. They decided to donate 10,000,000 Yen to the victims' families.

Lee Soo Man will deliver Universal Music Japan and AVI Group's donation to the Korean Red Cross.

Meanwhile, the three companies with continue to pursue further business collaborations.
