Pacquiao Vs. Mayweather Fight: Mayweather Wants To Own LA Clippers! Have They Forgotten His Racist Rants Against Manny Pacquiao?

The fallout of the Donald Sterling racist comments have begun. Moving on forward, they have now focused on the possible new owner, and Floyd Mayweather, Jr wants in on the action. Did they forget that he's also a racist?

Floyd made his intentions clear about the Clippers ownership with Yahoo Sports:

"Actually, I called Al today about that, to see if me, Leonard [Ellerbe], Richard [Schaefer], Al and a couple of my billionaire guys could come together and see what we could come up with," said Mayweather, a devoted bettor on NBA games. "Let's see if we can do it, and it's not just talk. I wouldn't mind. Once I get ownership in the Clippers, I could no longer bet. I'd have to stop that completely.

"You know with me, I can't come in here and talk about, 'Mayweather's only going to get three percent, four percent.' I've got to get a solid percentage. Do we want to buy the Clippers? Yes, we do. We're very, very interested in buying the Clippers."

Of course, if your nickname is 'Money' then you would not miss out on such an opportunity. Yet, contrary to the opinion of most African-Americans and members of other races, he did not bash Sterling: "Donald Sterling, he's been getting a lot of negative press. My thing is this: I don't have nothing negative to say about this guy. He's always treated me with the utmost respect. He has always invited me to games. Always. He's always told me, 'Floyd, I want you to sit right next to me and my wife.' I don't know about the mistress, but I'm talking about him and the wife. But the mistress has always tried to send girls by me and I'd be like, 'No.' I was always like, 'No, this is my guy's seat.' "

It should not come as a surprise since Floyd Mayweather has already had racist rants in the past. Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports transcribed Money's rants on a video he uploaded on Ustream: "I'm on vacation for a year, about a year. As soon as we come off vacation, we're going to cook that little yellow chump. We ain't worried about that. So they ain't got to worry about me fighting the midget. Once I kick the midget's (expletive), I don't want you all to jump on my (expletive). You better get on the bandwagon now."

UFC President Dana White also called him out during the time of "Linsanity" in New York. Mayweather remarked: "Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he's Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don't get the same praise."

The NBA needs to be reminded that Racism is not just Black against White, and getting a black owner is not necessarily a guarantee that he's not racist.
