Group M.I.B will be holding a solo Japan concert this May.

Their arrival in Japan is expected to gather the presence of more fans than ever since M.I.B just released their second album, The Maginot Line, last month. 

Their agency revealed that the popular boy group will be holding their solo concert in Tokyo and Osaka.

They have not released an official album in Japan yet, but still decided to hold a concert due to the request of their high demand and solid fan base in Japan. 

Various events, such as a high-touch event, have been prepared so fans can get the full M.I.B experience during the group's short stay in the country. 

M.I.B previously held a concert back in February and gained quite a bit of media attention. 

The idol group also performed for their fans during their "KEEP GOING" tour in Japan September of last year. 

K-Pop groups have been going in and out of Japan this past month, greeting thousand of fans, despite the dipolatic conflict between the two countries. 

About 9,600 K-Pop fans made sure to make an appearance in Yokohama on April 3 as idol groups including Crayon Pop, 2PM and Supernova held a concert, according to Japan Times. 

Both organizers and fans reportedly called the concert a "bridge" between South Korea and Japan. 

"Since we are a cultural industry company, we believe we can do something small that government won't and can't do," stated Shin Hyung-Kwan, executive producer of CJ E&M's music channel Mnet. 

Shin added, "So, in that respect, when there is political tension... we believe cultural exchanges can shorten the distance between two nations."

Yokoyama, a fan of Girl's Day, told The Malaymailonline, "In order to move forward, we get together on things like this. If we keep digging deep into the past, our interests will always end up clashing."

Idol groups are also thinking about expanding their popularity and appeal outside of South Korea. 

2PM member Ok Taecyeon stated, "In South Korea, idols have become multinationals because the industry is targeting not only the domestic market, but also foreign markets."

Taecyeon continued, "They're modelled in a way they can be popular not only in Asia, but also around the world."
