Blink 182 Tour 2014: Band On A Second Break Up? Drummer Travis Barker Shows Disappointment With The Band’s Direction Going Nowhere

Blink 182 Tour: On recent news, drummer Travis Barker has been expressing his frustrations with the punk band, as he hasn’t seen any progress with them so far.

In a recent interview, he said: “Honestly, we haven’t really started on anything new at this point. We have a couple shows booked but that’s it. Until all three of us get in the same room and other people’s schedules clear, it’s kinda outta my hands. So I keep myself busy in the studio. I’m in the middle of rehearsals with the Transplants for MusInk and we’re recording a covers album.”

However, earlier this year, Blink 182 teased fans of what looked like to be new tracks as bassist Mark Hoppus has recently posted a picture in his Twitter account of recorded tracks with the caption 'Them blink-182 demos'.

With Barker ranting about the band not going anywhere after the pictures have posted, it looks like that the band isn't going anywhere as of now. Could this lead to a break up? Probably not as they have a lot of shows lined up for the 2014 tour. While waiting for Blink 182 to get back on the studio while still being busy with tour and their own stuff, bassist Mark Hoppus steps in the scene by starting a duo with long time collaborator Chris Holmes starting “Nova Rockafeller”.

The band is expected to work with their new album and is expected to tour once the new album is done. The band targets the new record to be done before they headline the Reading and Leeds festival this year.

Blink 182, however, will be headlining a rock, heavy metal and punk festival Amnesia Rockfest on June 20-21 in Montebello, Quebec. The band will be joined by Motley Crue, Alice and Chains, Megadeth, Weezer and many other heavy metal and rock bands. This will be the ninth installment of the said festival.
