It's already been 3 years since EXO debuted, and last year they outdid more experienced artists. At the '2013 MelOn Music Awards,' they took home the Best Song Award, Top 10 Award, and Netizen's Popularity Award. At the '2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards,' they were given the Album of the Year Award. Besides the aforementioned awards, EXO were awarded various trophies on music programs, and emerged as a mainstream trending group.

EXO was extremely busy last year, and they've come back with their new mini album 'Overdose.' What's noteworthy about the current comeback is that the group is pursuing activities in their unit groups, as EXO-K and EXO-M.

EXO is composed of two unit groups. EXO-K originally was created to perform onstage in Korea, and EXO-M hit the stages in China. Through their debut album EXO pursued separate activities in Korea and China, but they weren't able to stir up a big scene.

Last year, EXO switched up their agenda and came together as one big group for "Wolf" and "Growl," which were huge hits with the fans. They've gathered a massive fan base, and won popular recognition with the public. That's why there are some that are concerned about the group splitting up their activities to two different countries.

But EXO blew off such concerns. EXO released their mini album through various music sites in both Korea and China. And as soon as they did, their title song "Overdose" shot to the top of 9 major real time music charts in a short period of time. Those music charts include MelOn, Bugs, Naver Music, Daum Music, Soribada, and more. Their offline album pre-sales total 658,710 (372,160 Korean albums, 286,550 Chinese albums). With almost a whopping 660,000 pre-sale albums, they reached a new record, confirming the music fans' hot interest in the group.

This time of record serves to prove that EXO is truly a trending group. EXO-M has already started their activities in China, and EXO-K kicked off their activities through Mnet's "M Countdown." There's great anticipation for these unit groups EXO-K and EXO-M to outdo their activities last year and achieve even better records.
