Filipino Fans Ready To Welcome WINNER As Opening Act For 2NE1's 'All Or Nothing World Tour' In Manila Next Week

With K-Pop's increasing popularity around the world, many acts find themselves with huge followings outside South Korea. Even those who have yet to officially debut are leaving strong impressions on foreign fans.

One such group is YG Entertainment's highly anticipated new boy group, WINNER. The five-member idol group has been causing a lot of excitement overseas since becoming the victors of YG's self-produced reality competition show, Who's Next?

Now that the rookie group has joined forces with label-mates 2NE1 for their All or Nothing World Tour, more fans and international media outlets are taking notice.

On May 10, the Manila Standard Today featured WINNER in an article leading up to 2NE1's concert in the Philippines next weekend, proving that Filipino K-Pop fans are just as excited to see the rookie idols as they are the famed girl group.

Of course, the upcoming concert is not the first time international fans have gotten a glimpse of WINNER in action. The guys served as the opening act for Big Bang during their Japanese dome tour late last year and we met by thousands of excited fans across Japan.

The group's first album release is still in the works, but expected sometime before the end of the year. Their debut album will include songs composed by the members themselves as well as other producers working for YG.

Those interested in catching WINNER open for 2NE1 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila on May 17 can visit SM Tickets for more details.
