Carrie Fisher Weight Lose: Carrie Fisher dropped 40 pounds for 'Star Wars: Episode VII' to reprise her role as Princess Leia in the upcoming, "Star Wars: Episode VII."

Fisher she didn't waste any time getting into shape after she was cast in the Star Wars movie. Fisher, who is 57 years old, told the Calgary Herald she was excited to get drop pounds and get in shape for the new Leia role.


In an interview last year, Fisher told the Calgary Herald, "I'm glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape. So I'm really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything."

According to Debbie Reynolds, her daughter Carrie Fisher dropped 40 pounds for 'Star Wars: Episode VII.' Carrie Fisher wants to get that metal-bikini body back, the one from the slave bikini that has become one of the biggest selling sexy Halloween costumes. 

In 2011, Fisher told TODAY she lost 50 pounds through the Jenny Craig weight loss program so she could "get into the metal bikini and just walk around the house like an idiot."

Debbie Reynolds, Carrie's mom, told Mario Lopez on Extra "She's very excited about it. She's been on a diet ever since because you know they have to be up to par, so she looks terrific. She's lost 40 pounds. She's very excited, as we all are, because we all love Star Wars."
