Law Firm Representing EXO's Kris Reportedly Vows To Settle The Lawsuit Against SM Entertainment Quietly

Since announcing that he was suing SM Entertainment to terminate his contract, EXO-M leader Kris has reportedly been causing quite a stir with his band mates and agency and among fans.

Information about the situation has been relatively limited to social media posts with a heavy sprinkling of rumors and speculation.

And it does not look like the public will learn many of the negotiations between the singer and the label as Kris's legal representation has vowed to keep the matter private.

"We will not be doing any more interviews with the press or revealing the details of the lawsuit. We will settle this quietly," said a spokesman for the Hankyul Law Firm, according to the publication Oh! Kpop.

Hankyul has reportedly been hired to represent Kris for his claim.

"We have filed a suit with the district court to terminate [Kris's] exclusive contract with SM Entertainment over the contractual terms," a rep from the law firm told eNews on Thursday.

Some EXO fans have claimed that the recent surge in Twitter and Instagram updates from the group members expressing betrayal and disappointment at Kris's actions do not sound like they are coming directly from the band members themselves.

These fans have alleged that it is suspicious that the EXO members have been allowed to be so vocal on their social media accounts and in interviews as of late, when the record label has a long-standing history of censoring its artists.
