iPhone 6 Rumors, Specs: Dummy Apple Smartphone With 4.7" Display Runs iOS 7, See What It Looks Like

iPhone 6 rumors, specs: For the past couple of weeks, we have seen a number of online publications come up with mock-ups of the upcoming iPhone 6 based on its rumored dimensions, design and features. However, one YouTube user has taken it to a whole new level.

According to a report by BGR, YouTuber macmixing, working for 9to5mac, found a way to simulate how the current iOS 7 platform would work in an iPhone with a 4.7-inch display.

While the new iPhone 6 would most probably launch running iOS 8 out of the box, the report believes that there would be no drastic changes in terms of appearance, as the Cupertino manufacturer has recently revamped the appearance from the shift between iOS 6 to iOS 7.

In the YouTube video, the mockup iPhone 6 with a larger display is shot next to the iPhone 5s as both devices run iOS 7.

In case you have been paying attention to rumors and reports recently, the iPhone 6 is said to come in two versions, a 4.7-inch edition, and a much bigger 5.5-inch variant that would directly rival current Android flagships and upcoming high-end devices, particularly the Galaxy Note 4.

Aside from the huge bump in display size, other rumored specs include a much better Touch ID home button, better camera options though it may still be stuck at 8 megapixels, a sapphire made display, and a new A8 chip that supports 64-bit applications.

Apple will be holding its annual WWDC event in June and aside from details about iOS 8, the iWatch, and the new MacBooks, one of the more anticipated details would be related to the upcoming iPhone 6.

So, is Apple ready to take on the big boys? Knowing the Cupertino manufacturer, it will not dive into any conflict without preparing its weapons and aces.

By the way, here's the video of the dummy iPhone 6 running iOS 7:
