LG G Flex 2 Release Date: Successor Of 'Flexible' Smartphone Arriving In 2015, Specs Incl. Full HD Or QHD Display, 'More Flexibility'

LG G Flex 2 release date: Late last year, a lot of smartphone fans became very excited when two of the top tech manufacturers announced that they would be releasing flexible devices. And while the Samsung Galaxy Round may it first in the market, it was only limited to its home country due to the disappointing features.

Indeed, it was curved, but that was pretty much what it is - just a curved smartphone with flagship-level specs.

On the other hand, LG may have announced the original G Flex a little later, but it certainly was a looker. While the Galaxy Round was curved on its sides, the G Flex was curved from top to bottom, making it countour to the shape of the face when making and answering calls.

Aside from that, there was also a self-healing back cover that can 'heal' key scratches and other surface level dings.

Above all, the original LG G Flex is truly flexible, as the smartphone can be placed in a flat surface and one can push the smartphone down until its curved top and bottom reaches the surface. It would just return to its curved shape once the pressure is taken away.

Because of these award-winning features, LG is said to be looking forward to the G Flex's successor. And a rumor from EV Leaks point to a potential release date during Q1 in 2015. So what should we expect from this version of LG's flexible phone?

For one, the Android-powered smartphone should become more flexible than the previous generation. If LG is able to do that, tech geeks would certainly consider getting a device with a unique design, rather than get the generic bar type build.

Of course, the Korean manufacturer should also make sure to include unforgiving specs, one of which should be included is an improved display resolution, probably Full HD or Quad HD.
