The Division Release Date For 2015 ‘Ambitious’? Launch In 2016 More Realistic; No Functioning Game Yet And Multiplayer Component Still At Conceptual Stage

According to the latest reports, it seems that The Division release date might not happen until until 2016.

During E3 2013, Ubisoft announce that Tom'Clancy's The Division would have a 2014 release date. But recently, The Division release date was removed out of the 2014 launch timeframe and pushed back to 2015.

However, based on new reports emerging about The Division release date, the game might not be out until next, next year.

An anonymous source at Massive told Gamereactor that The Division release date in 2015 is a "a tad bit optimistic." The insider shared:

"The Division is without a doubt one of the most ambitious game projects of all time and our publisher has naturally realised this. We've been given increased resources, we're hiring lots at the moment and are given a lot of help from other Ubisoft teams which is going to be needed if we are to deliver a finished game by next fall. Sadly I still think that the date is a tad bit optimistic as we still don't have a functioning game and still have massive problems making our multiplayer component work at the concept stage. At the same time both we and our publisher are incredibly happy with our game engine and Ubisoft will naturally make use of it in lots of upcoming titles."

Though details about the official The Division release date have been very scarce, Ubisoft already confirmed that the game will be present during the highly-anticipated gaming convention happening next month, the E3 2014, as reported by iDigital Times publication.

The Division is expected to be available on PS4 and Xbox One. Also, the game publisher recently announced that The Division will be available on PC at launch.T
