Pacquiao Vs Mayweather in September? Floyd Wants Maidana Rematch Or Amir Khan! Is Money Dodging The Biggest Paycheck Of His Career?

Floyd Mayweather Jr defeated Marcos Maidana by the skin of his teeth. Thus, a call for a rematch is fair. As Money contemplates his next opponent and is likely to brag about his fight's pay per view numbers, the biggest paycheck of his career is just waiting to be signed-a fight with Manny Pacquiao.

Leonard Ellerbe told ESPN all the details. The date: Floyd will go on Sept. 13 and we looking at who he's going to fight and where he is going to fight.

The possible venue: "Obviously, Las Vegas is his home and the MGM Grand is always the leading candidate but we will take a look at our other options."

"[Barclays Center chief executive] Brett [Yormark] and those guys at the Barclays Center made a tremendous offer for the Maidana fight and I'm sure they'll be looking to be in the Floyd Mayweather business again come September, but the MGM is Floyd's home and they are always the leading candidate. "

The possible opponents: "We're looking at opponents now. In the next two weeks we'll have that part figured out."

The rematch question with Marcos Maidana who had his prized ward on the ropes: "He's definitely in the mix. He's a very dirty fighter. He used a lot of dirty tactics, but Floyd handled him easily and he gave the fans a great fight. But there's a long list of opponents. Everybody wants to be in the Floyd Mayweather sweepstakes. Several guys have made it clear they want to be next."

"Easily" is a relative term in this case. There is also the matter of Amir Khan, a fighter whom they did not sign on because the projected Pay Per View was not up to their expectations. They seem to be singing a different tune.

"If Amir Khan wants to flight Floyd Mayweather, we're going to fight on Sept. 13."

The simple fact-Money is having the same dilemma as Pacquiao: no more quality opponents.

If "Money" is so conscious about the Pay per View numbers and all the sales figures, why won't he just fight Manny Pacquiao? Any boxing observer knows, and Mayweather himself knows that the numbers for a Pacquiao-Mayweather match will be insane.

For now, you will definitely see a Mayweather fight on September 13. But it won't be the fight that you want.
