U.S. Billboard Celebrates 2NE1's 5 Year Anniversary Since Debut With 'Top 5 MV' List

It's already been 5 years since girl group 2NE1 graced us with their undeniably powerful presence.

U.S. Billboard published an article on May 17 to celebrate 2NE1's 5th anniversary.

Billboard recognized 2NE1's unique and charismatic style, explaining that the group first debuted in 2009, skyrocketing to fame within the 5 years since they appeared on the K-Pop scene.

The idol group was celebrated on the website with a "Top 5 Must See MV" list, which includes "Fire,"  "Do You Love Me," "Can't Nobody," "I Love You" and "I Am The Best."

The music news outlet also published an article analyzing the group's music video, "Gotta Be You," which features the girls singing and rapping through a "pop-art world."

The article praised the girls' visual and fashion choices in the video as well as the tasteful way they implement references to Roy Lichtenstein comic books and Andy Warhol's "Brillo Boxes."

The members of 2NE1, which consists of CL, Minzy, Bom and Dara (known as Sandara Park to her Filipino fans), are currently on their "All Or Nothing" tour.

They recently visited their fans in the Philippines, performing their hits at the Mall of Asia Arena. The group gave fans quite a show, singing and dancing to more than 20 songs, including their debut single, "Fire" and singles such as "Lonely" and "I Am the Best."

2NE1 also celebrated their 5th anniversary that night onstage with a cake, according to GMA News.

The group's leader CL asked the group's managers, dancers and crew to get up on the stage so they can be introduced to fans and be given credit for all of their hard work.

"I wanna thank you guys for this beautiful night and I hope to see you guys after five years," stated CL.

The girls are currently preparing for their next concert in Malaysia on May 24.
