Band FTISLAND To Release 4th Japan Album On May 28

Korean band FT Island will be releasing their 4th album in Japan titled "New Page" on May 28.

The five-member boy band released their last Japanese album last June, titled "RATED-FT."

The title song for their new album will be called "BE FREE" and is reported to be the song that will showcase the pop-rock band's music style the most.

"NEW PAGE" will include 13 tracks. FT Island also recently released their new album concept photos on their official Facebook page and showed off their upgraded charisma and look.

FT Island member Lee Hong Ki gained special attention for his "joker" image, which surprised fans.

As the group releases their new album in Japan, they are scheduled to hold their "The Passion Tour" in Japan, beginning on June 3.

FT Island will be making another appearance in Japan after their tour ends for the "Summer Sonic 2014 Festival," which will be held from August 16 to 17, according to the Korean publication Sports Gyunghang.

The group has continuously been recognized for their talent since their debut back in 2007.

They won several prestigious awards in Korea, including the Golden Disk Awards, Mnet Asian Music Awards and the Seoul Music Awards.

FT Island also topped various music program charts such as Inkigayo, M! Countdown and Music Bank.

The boy band recently celebrated their sixth anniversary with a concert in Bangkok in late March 2014.

During their interview with MSN Entertainment XIN, FT Island had opened up about their plans for 2014, stating that they've been actively writing "a lot of songs now."

Their goal to create an album that will "be a big hit and satisfy fans" might be met with this upcoming album.

"After collating all the songs we're writing, we'd pick objectively the best songs and have them in the album," stated FT Island member Hongki.
