What's better than shaky Michael Jackson's hologram? Turns out, a 17-year-old teen from Turlock, California. His version of Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean', with impeccable moonwalk and pelvic thrust moves, has gone viral on the internet. He certainly did Michael Jackson proud at his high school talent show. Now, he has Ellen DeGeneres and other TV talk show hosts calling. We bet he definitely didn't have national fame in his mind when he was prepping for the show!

So who is this unassuming teen with a dire need of a haircut? His name is Brett Nichols, a junior in John H. Pitman High School in Turlock, California. He is like any other American teen, going to school and playing water polo. But he might have to get comfortable with Ellen DeGeneres calling him little Michael Jackson! His 'Billie Jean' video is planned to appear on Yahoo News Home Page this evening. More than that, he has already received calls from not only 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', but also 'NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams' and the Netherlands' largest news website.

MTV news described Nichols's dance as "better than Michael Jackson's hologram." That's a high praise.

"I always wanted to be famous, I just didn't know it would take off in this direction. I didn't wake up thinking today would be like this," said Nichols.

It turns out that he spent years practicing Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' routine. He has been performing this at talent shows since sixth grade. That's nine years in the making.  

"I've always known I wanted to leave something behind on this earth and it's fun to entertain, not because it is what people want, but because it is what I can offer," said Nichols. "I hope people see that with hard work you can make it."

As of 11:30 a.m. yesterday, the video had garnered more than 2,400 upvotes and 554 comments, and held the No. 2 overall spot in the Videos subreddit. So far it has garnered over 2.7 million views on YouTube. Keep it up, Brett. You just might make it to national television. Better yet, get practicing on the other Michael Jackson dance routines. We suggest 'Thriller'.
