Sloane Stephens, the rising tennis star, has moved onto the round three of the 2014 French Open. And so has her boyfriend, Jack Sock, another American player. She announced on Instagram late last year that they were dating, despite the age-old, unspoken rule in tennis: that tennis players aren't supposed to date each other. Together they raised American morale at Roland Garros as Serena Williams and Venus Williams got totaled on their second round games. The 21-year-old Sloane Stephens, who famously beat Serena Williams at last year's Australian Open, will now cruise onto to round three with her Boyfriend Jack Sock.

Sloane Stephens eased past Slovenian Polona Hercog with a straight two setter, 6-1, 6-3, thanks to her new coach Paul Annacone. He had coached champions like Pete Sampras and Roger Federer, and now is ready to make Stephens into an international tennis player.

"I think she's unbelievably talented. There is no question, about her physical capabilities and skills," Annacone told Associated Press. "I think she just has to mature. She has to figure out how to manage her average days and her average games better. I think right now, because she's young and because she's a perfectionist, it's hard to do that."

Ever she beat Serena Williams, Sloane has been compared to the tennis veteran by dozens of tennis critics. "Sloane Stephens is the most captivating shot-maker and sizzling court-mover to come along since Serena," Coach Murphy Jensen of Washington Kastles said in a news release.

Jack Sock beat Steve Johnson, another American player, during the French Open's second round with a three setter, 7-5, 6-4, 6-2. Unlike his hot-shot girlfriend, Jack Sock hasn't been able to get further than round two in Grand Slams. This is his chance to win big. With Sloane Stephens playing alongside him in Roland Garros, he just may be able to!
