KCON 2014: CNBLUE Joins The Lineup For 2-Day Concert Event

KCON 2014 just keeps getting better and better.

KCON, North America's largest K-Pop and Korean entertainment culture convention, has announced that Korean idol rock band CNBLUE will join Girls' Generation and the Bangtan Boys in the lineup for the convention's two-day star-studded concert.

Previous years have featured a large idol-infused concert for fans, and earlier this month KCON organizers revealed their plans to extend the show to cap off both nights of the convention. As with KCON 2013, well known Korean performance program M! Countdown will be producing the live concert this time around.

CNBLUE is comprised of lead vocalist Jung Yong Hwa, guitarist Lee Jong Hyun, bass player Lee Jung Shin, and drummer Kang Min Hyuk. The group debuted in Japan in 2009, and after seeing early success abroad, released their first EP in Korea in early 2010.

They have an impressive discography that includes five studio albums, eight EPs, and nineteen music videos released in both Korea and Japan.

In January of this year, CNBLUE made their way to the United States as part of their Blue Moon World Tour and played shows in New York City and Los Angeles.

KCON 2014 will be held in downtown Los Angeles on August 9 and 10.
