If you are a starving writer, you may think about trying your hand at One Direction fanfiction. Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books just bought a One Direction fanfiction for mid 6 figures. Not too shabby? More like overnight millionaire! Teenage girls, don't lose heart when your parents say to listening to trashy pop and buying magazines with Harry Styles' face plastered on the cover. Such focused obsession may (literally) pay out in the future! Who knew that selling fanfiction could be so lucrative? You may be able to fund your college with that money.

The first book of the series, written by a 25-year-old Anna Todd from Texas, is called 'After'. According to New York Magazine, this One Direction fanfiction had over "800 million reads" on Wattpad, an online reading platform. I don't think that many people read the bible anymore.

Anna Todd told Sugarscape.com that she's "floating on a cloud" ever since the Simon & Schuster book deal came through. "In terms of getting the deal, Wattpad did everthing, they were so great - I didn't really have to do much. It's a dream come true."

If you weren't one of the 800 million people that were cool enough to read 'After' before it went mainstream, this is the synopsis:

"Tessa Young is an 18 year old college student with a simple life, excellent grades, and a sweet boyfriend. She always has things planned out ahead of time, until she meets a rude boy named Harry, with too many tattoos and piercings who shatters her plans."

Hopefully this isn't like 'Fifty Shades of Grey' for tweens and teens. Actually, it is exactly like that. What the teaser doesn't tell you is that 'After explores sex between a naive young woman and Harry Styles. According to Entertainment Weekly, chapter 92 gets especially racy and R-rated.

When the book gets published, Harry's name will be changed. Simon & Schuster certainly doesn't want One Direction hottie to be suing them for defamation. The first novel will be released in November 2014, just in time for your boring family reunion for Thanksgiving, and the sequels will come out in January and March 2015.
