‘Frozen' Movie: Divorce Requested By Japanese Woman Because Husband Hates Her Favorite Film 'Frozen!' She Decided To 'Let It Go!'

Disney's "Frozen" is now the fifth top grossing film of all time. It recently passed Pixar's "Toy Story 3" and "Iron Man 3" to gain that title.

But the fanaticism does not stop there. The rabid fan base is gobbling up the DVD copies so they could watch the movie repeatedly. The movie has obviously become close to their viewers' hearts--even closer than their spouses?

Apparently yes. The Japanese have a website called "Kikonsha no Hakaba" which is translated as "The Gravesite of Married People." Based on the title, it's a forum for sharing marital woes as well as offer advice or, in this case, make fun of the subject matter.

Yahoo had the report on this odd case:

"Posted by a 31-year-old married man who (surprise, surprise) remained anonymous, it tells of his wife, 29, and her love for the Disney film.

The man, a successful property owner and developer thought he had the ideal life: a good income; no outstanding debt; owning his own home; a happy wife...

The last one was true until his other half became obsessed with 'Frozen' and visited the cinema on several occasions to relive the musical CG film. OK, that's fine.

But one day she persuaded him to watch the film - after all, he did major in Danish Literature at university, so chances were he would like it and see influences from the Hans Christian Anderson tale 'The Snow Queen'. In fact, the film went under the name of 'Anna and the Snow Queen' in Japan.

But after watching it, he wasn't too thrilled. 'It's an OK movie, I guess, but I didn't really care for it personally.' What seemed like an innocent, rational opinion didn't please his missus. Nor did she react well upon hearing his follow-up question of, 'Do you really think it's that good?'

She responded, 'If you can't understand what makes this movie great, there's something wrong with you as a human being!' The conversation ended when she screamed, 'I want a divorce!'

The baffled man claims there's been no real unrest over the course of their six-year marriage (until now, that is), but this difference of opinion over 'Frozen' clearly unlocked the crazy in her."

The woman has packed her stuff and lived with her parents. On attempts for reconciliation, the Frozen-phile has allegedly given her soon to be ex-husband the cold shoulder.

Perhaps they need more than just a 'fixer-upper.'
